Comprehensive Plan

The primary function of the Comprehensive Plan is to define a general vision for the City of Kootenai’s long-term future. It reflects the general goals of the community and is a projection of how present conditions can be improved upon through the setting of goals and policies and development of a general agenda for action to reach the goals. It is a guideline to assure future land use decisions.

A City comprehensive plan should be reviewed and revised every 5 to 7 years. The City of Kootenai’s Plan was adopted in 2011, therefore it is time to revisit the City’s goals and revise the Plan to accommodate future needs for the City.
