Welcome to the City of Kootenai

City Hall will be closed December 25th and 26th for Christmas.  We wish you and your families a very happy holiday.  Thank you!!

Dog tags are available at City Hall at no cost. If you’re within the city limits, please come in and license your dog. With recent changes between police and Better Together Animal Alliance, if your dog gets loose and picked up, it could end up in Hayden’s Animal Shelter. If your dog is licensed, Bonner County Sherrff’s Office, Sandpoint Police and Ponderay Police will have your dog’s info and can get it back to you ASAP. Thank you!!

Snow Is Here!! As a reminder, per ordinance 116, 4-7-1997, please keep the streets free for the snow plow crews to plow the roads.  Multiple violations can result in your vehicle being towed.

Council Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm located at the City Hall: 204 Spokane Street, Kootenai Idaho 83840
